Featuretools, developed and maintained by Feature Labs Inc., is the first open source, enterprise-ready software released from HDI. Implementing the Deep Feature Synthesis algorithm for automatic feature generation, the library brings a new dimension to enterprise-grade predictive analytics: time. By putting mechanisms in place to control time bounds over what data goes into feature engineering and ultimately generating the predictive model, Featuretools enables reliable model development.

Any entity that has timestamped observations – in other words, most of what data scientists already handle – can benefit from Featuretools. It is the backbone of almost everything we do at HDI. Its accessibility enables us to imagine and bring to fruition countless ideas, ranging from transforming the predictive fraud analytics practice in banks, to bringing brand new data sources in to solve new problems, to enabling private peer-to-peer collaborative machine learning. The possibilities are endless.
